Few trends have been as disruptive as programmatic buying, and there has been a major shift taking place in the mobile ad space. The key findings from InMobi’s analysis include:
• A greater share of budgets is being devoted to programmatic: Globally, the share of all mobile ad spend conducted programmatically went from 19 percent in H1 2017 to 56 percent in H1 2018.
• A swell in programmatic mobile video ad spend: In the first half of 2018, one-third of all money spent programmatically for mobile ads went towards video.
• Strength across verticals: Among CPG companies, 42 percent of mobile in-app ad spend occurred programmatically.
